Tight open cup in bush, cavity or on a building. Built of twigs, grass, leaves debris, roots and feathers

2 - 6 bluish lightly streaked or spotted eggs, incubation 12 - 14 days, fledge 11 - 19

Food
Seeds, some insects

Voice
A chirp similar to house sparrow, hoarse warbeling notes ending in a "zeee"

Characteristics
Feeder foods: Sunflower, Nyjer, Suet, Peanuts, Safflower, Millet. Fruit (apple)
