Habitat
Forest edges, suburbs, hedges, shrubs and small trees

Nest
Open bowl of weeds and twigs lined with leaves, bark and grasses - concealed in a thicket

Eggs
2 - 5 buffy white eggs with medium brown spots, incybation 11 - 13 days, fledge 7 - 13 days

Food
Seeds, buds, fruits, insects

Voice
Song - a series of clear whistles. Call - a sharp "chip"
